No one killed Jessica

Jessica lal's murder dates back to 1999, when India was in war with Pak. Its obvious that, the war news spread like fire throughout the nation and this case of an ambitious model was converted to a "Open and shut" case. I dont know why, but I was a regular reader of this case in newspaper, the only source of information by then. The case shook me when my research went on and I was like, "how can anyone dare to shoot someone in public places, a club!". I was very much eager to watch this movie. Some of my friends deferred joining me but luckily I had my room-mate, u know its very easy to trap your room-mate :D .

Manipal has very few Good theaters, infact only one! shocking isnt it? but we dont have any other option. The first shock after reaching the movie theater was, it was full of Manipal students, hmmm you know what I mean ;) . I was just memorizing all that I had read about the case and was very much eager checkout Rajkumar Gupta s projection, depiction or his last movie Aamir like experience. The journey of "No one killed Jessica" began, characters kept coming like my read sequence and I was out-spoken. Very good performance by the cast and crew and direction was just..... no words :P

I cant explain how I felt watching the movie but after-movie effect was a complete silence. My friend also liked the movie and we headed back. one question remained unanswered in my mind was the reason for the silence. I wonder was that, my knowledge about the case or the Rajkumar gupta s yet another touching move. The movie is just awesome in my words. I dont know how critics people put it but who cares, beauty lies in the eyes of beholder ;)
Spend your weekend on this friends its refreshing !!

Good day

Vinay Darbi: New face of Kannada folk music

Vinay Darbi: New face of Kannada folk music: Raghu Dixit , the youth icon

New face of Kannada folk music

Indian music has seen stalwarts in the form of Hindustani music dating back to 1000BC, carnatic, folks. Its fact that we are transforming the traditional musical era into X-gen music.

In the present generation people often talk about love, dating, friends, salsa, rock shows, western music etc... and shockingly if given a chance we discuss various issues on celebrities, fashion and of course terrorism. But if you step aside and give it a thought you will end up realizing, we still have our interests moulded in traditions.

You must be wondering why I am talking about all this. But the reason for this my dear friends is, this new year dragged me to yet another greatest singer of folk music in the present generation.

This funky looks guy, gold medalist in Masters in Microbiology and a proficient Indian Classical Dancer (Vidwat in Bharatanatyam),Raghupathy Dixit is now known more as a self-taught-guitarist-singer-composer-songwriter-musician,basically from Mysore and settled in Bengaluru.

He enters the stage with colourfull desi wears. Guys desi wear for him n his band means lungis with colourfull kurta and Ghungroos (anklets). Well ban on lungis in Sharjah sounded the death knell for hundreds of mallu men for whom lungis are like second skin. Hearing the news he chuckled "My first thought when I heard the news was, I might be banned from Sharjah" :)

Recently i heard his debut album "2008:Raghu Dixit" which is launched by popular music directors vishal-shekhar. His music talks of common man s emotion, ethics and life style.
Mysore se aayi, Hey Bhagwan, Gudugudiya are popular songs amongst us, his fans.

If you are bored up of sandalwood, bollywood, why go for western or hollywood jus try his bit of creation and no wonder you ll fall trap in his net. He has redefined folk music with his unmatchable voice, expression and what we call as josh. He has brought smiles on many folk lovers. North Karnataka people are very much eager to see him singing their age-old folks. The following link speaks more bout him, his band and his goals. Just give a try :)

Thank you have a good day

2011 with a difference

A dayout with my collage friends.

Well to begin with let me describe these characters. The white tee guy in front is Vishwa and is part of life since last 12 years. He was with me in possible worst situations I faced. Handsome hunk in green is AASHIK AWARA of our batch Adi. The navigator down the row showed us the most eagerly awaited s
ceneries in Manipal coast.

They joined in the wee hours of 1st Jan ofcoz I had had ma new year party the last night. I just could not express how i felt meeting them after long gap. With dying to close eyes I could not resist from taking them out. We set out and landed up in one of the finest places, Kaup beach driving 25+kms

I just go outta words to describe this place. For students of near by places and Manipal University in particular, its the best hangout places. The light house view is known its beauty ofcoz till date I didnt have a chance due to my irregular visiting times.

The natural rocks, the ambiance and the sea breeze will definitely drive anyone crazy. It tempts us to get into dangerous "swimmin g forbidden" area :)

So this was our(four friends) destiny for the day. I hope you know what I mean by destiny in beach with shacks obstructing our view ;) . Oh, I think I missed out another crazy guy out in gang. Mr Jaggal, known for his search for opportunities. Studious, distinction holder, placed in two companies in collage campus and yet planning for further studies in Germany. You will see him in the next pic.

I dont know bout others but i believe that, friends are the best store houses of secrets and luckily we all had something of that kind happening out in the beach :) lol Nothing unethical, disturbing but yet a memorable blast. Literally me and Adi had tough time handling Mr.Mind tree (Vishya). He has very maasoom kind of face but believe me, he is a fighter!

So this was my new year welcoming style this time. I am damn sure these guys coming all the way from "Namma Bengaluru" had a silent, traffic less time in Manipal. Thanks alot guys for making my day. Love you and wish you a fun filled years ahead.
